Victor Muller takes Saab in to Court Protection
Two weeks ago we reported that Saab were about to seek court protection from its creditors in a bid to buy time until investment from China arrives. And that’s exactly what’s happening. Saab are waiting for investment funding from China – via Pang Da and Youngman – totalling €245 million which should put Saab back on a solvent footing – at least for a while – and allow the beleaguered Swedish car maker to resume production and push on with future plans.

The Limited Edition of the Range Rover Evoque with Victoria Beckham’s name attached has appeared ahead of its reveal at the Beijing Motor Show. Just the other day we reported on a ‘tell us nothing’ video tease from Land Rover for the Range Rover Evoque Victoria Beckham, scheduled to arrive on Monday at the Beijing Motor Show. But it’s arrived a bit ahead of time, not something you expect from a ‘celeb’.
2014 Toyota RAV4 (pictured) gets more equipment and a lower price
Toyota like to think of the RAV4 as the originator of the compact SUV, and as it’s been around for two decades and is in its fourth iteration, they probably have a point. But being the first doesn’t guarantee continued success; that comes from still being relevant and keeping up with the ever growing competition in the market place. So Toyota are giving the RAV4 a bit of a makeover for 2014 – not quite a facelift, more an upgrade – with additional equipment across the range and a price drop too.
